In my recent stint at Econoblog [2], I mentioned the role of state-imposed mandates required health insurance that drive up the cost of health care insurance. The mandates require a group insurance plan to cover various items whether an individual employee wants it or not. Here [3] is a list of the mandates required by the state of Virginia.
