Sorry for posting here, but the comments for the Arnie post seem not accessible … out of fear from a discussion?

The point I wanted to make is that all civilised societies have renounced to the death penalty. And looking at the US experience, they are right. Death penaly is not efficient, the criminality rate is still higher than in Europe.

While waht the article says is true, the real culprit is Bush. Niger would never of had this problem if Bush and the war zealots in the US did not live and breath. Niger would be living in prosperity and enjoying warm, gentle rains every evening if Bush were not president.
