It seems as though the latter is the problem here in the US. </p> <p>Speaking of backward EU member-states putting people in jail for thought crime, Italy not long ago put a preacher on trial for "willingly deceiving the public trust," a high crime. Apparently he claimed that Christ was an actual person, ironically not something permitted in the home of the pope. Is anyone else familiar with this case?
