Russ posted [2] on the recent New York Times report on men choosing not to work. This letter-to-the-editor [3] in today’s edition of the Gray Lady nicely describes the phenomenon:
To the Editor:
Are you trying to portray this as a social problem? No way. The phenomenon has been around since men have existed.
There is a word for it in English: loafing.
