Here’s the eloquent, wise, and learned Johan Norberg — speaking recently at the Cato Institute — explaining some of the benefits of open markets.  (Norberg’s excellent blog is here.)

By the way, Norberg’s book, In Defense of Global Capitalism, is one of the very best books ever written on the topic of trade.
