Gregg withdraws. I wonder if the stated reasons are the real ones. It sure is hard being President.

I think what came out of my mouth was, "Woo-hooooo, he actually has a pair." I then had a vision of a politician with at least a little integrity or something to that effect. It was a little fuzzy.

it seems that obama is not much of the delegating type and theres alot of centralizing going on within the administration itself (see dick morris this week re. hillary), so he may have felt he'd be impotent.

its probably calculated as well.
i dont know what his ambitions are, but it'll definitely make him look pretty for 2012…

Possible reasons:

1. He failed to pay withholding taxes for his maid/manservant
2. He failed to pay withholding taxes for his maid, himself, and several others
3. He failed to pay required sales tax on “that really cool chick Spitzer set me up with”

Just a few possibilities….

A big one was that Obama wanted to take control of the Census from the Comemrce Dept. and put it directly in the White House.

There seems to be no good reason for doing that, unless he wants to meddle with the numbers.

The problem was that he payed all of his taxes and felt like he just couldn't fit in. My first thought was that he is going to be running against Obama for 2012.

Obama needs to get real and trash this faux bipartisanship baloney. I think he should appoint Angela Davis as his commerce secretary. She's black, female, lesbian, communist, intelligent, an outspoken activist, and she was on the FBI's most wanted list in the distant past to boot. She makes Gregg look like a feckless cream puff in comparison. Commerce is serious business, if you pardon my bad pun, and requires a serious person for the spot. Obama's numerous bad picks for important positions scare me; it reminds me of W. Here we go again.

I think Gregg's reason may actually be more pragmatic: I have heard that the governor wouldn't guarantee appointing a Republican to fill his senate seat, which would tip the balance in the Senate (depending on the Norm Coleman lawsuit against Al Franken's electoral victory in MN) to where the Democrats would be able to overturn a filibuster.

Because nothing screams "Commerce Secretary material!" like having "communist" on one's resume. Nothing says "economic dynamo!" than a communist country!
Next up will be a Treasury Secretary who doesn't know how to fill out a tax form… wait, that was last week.

Tongue in cheek works best when there is a remote possibility that the events being satirized could happen.

Being a Republican and having a zit that isn't, upon discovery, immediately ripped out into public and scrutinized with the world's greatest focus by the Liberal Dominated Media (LDM) is an impossibility.

"DID YOU KNOW that Sarah Palin's daughter once sassed a first grade teacher???" Sarah is definitely not leadership material and this proves it. LOL!

We let it happen and now we gotta live with it.

STrUmPiT,

"Angela Davis communist, intelligent,

You put the name and then try to pretend that as a communist she can be intelligent?

If she is communist it is proof positive that her brain is broken. Broken brains can never be intelligent.

We will give Angela, foolish functionality, maybe, no more for sure.

Communism is simply socialism carried to its natural excess.
