Here’s a sign that Cafe patron Brandon Robison spied in his local Whole Foods:

Private-property markets give persons incentives to minimize waste. This example is just one meaty example of this fact.

Yet another reason to girlcott Whole Foods.
Do other economic systems not have machine meat slicer?!
I’m not sure if you’re being sarcastic or serious, but here’s my serious reply: Capitalist nations have far more efficiency-creating, money-saving, time-saving, and life-saving devices and innovations than non-capitalist ones. I couldn’t tell you specifically whether grocery stores in Cuba or North Korea have meat slicers, but I guarantee you that they have far fewer of the things that we take for granted from our supermarkets.
A better question would be: How readily available are machine meat slicers (not to mention prosciutto) in command economies?
Fidel Castro, a hero to Yasafi’s hero (Michael Moore), promised rice cookers to all Cubans. Has he delivered, yet? When can they expect their meat slicers?
Don’t bother, brotio. I already made the mistake of assuming he wasn’t a Troll and attempting a dialogue. All he wants is for you to conclude that noncapitalist countries have meat slicers, ergo capitalism is no better than other systems with regard to production. He wants to deliberately misconstrue Don’s sampling of products as a proof of the superiority of capitalism. Foolish is behaving like an adolescent, and you’ll not be able to raise your discussions with him above that level.
Coca Cola was created by a capitalist. His team of designers and advertisers came up with the classic coke bottle shape.
Now to understand how just a teeeeeeny bit of capitalism dropped into a non-capitalist society can change things for the better, go rent the movie “The Gods Must be Crazy”.
Contemplate as you watch the movie, this thought, “Would not more coke bottles be better for the small tribe, rather than having to get rid of the one to eliminate the fuss over the one.”
Measuring capitalism is like measuring the richness of life, the more capitalism, the more riches, shared by more people. The other side of that coin is the less capitalism, the more poor life, and the fewer people get to enjoy it.
Why not complain about the way cocaine was taken out of Coca-Cola (do-gooders?)?
What are you guys on? Capitalism is the most hideously wasteful and destructive economic system imaginable. Get real!
