while like other listeners/readers i haven't found Tyler to be someone I often agree with or get something from reading or listening to, I really enjoyed this podcast. the second half is really stellar. it was informative and entertaining.

Cowen has always struck me as having a lot of potential. I've listened to him speak a couple of times and each time I've been disappointed. I've also found his blog to be somewhat...lacking. That said, I've enjoyed this podcast so far (I'm a little over halfway through). I think it's because of the flow. He and Russ seem to bounce from topic to topic in a way that they'll both make an "interesting point" and then move on.

Lesvic, has it occurred to you where we'd be if these guys decided to devote their energies to winning academic accolades instead of blogging? I don't see how they find time for this, so it counts as a genuine miracle of "spontaneous order." I've been reading The Economist magazine for 30 years and what I have learned from the Economist about economics isn't 10% of what I've learned from these guys in the last year just listening to podcasts and reading some of the works and authors they discuss. For God's sake, go easy on them.
