The Library of Liberty has an excellent interview with Coase where Coase explains the origin of this article in his _field research_.

And not well. Coase doesn’t consider himself an economist — perhaps in part because economists notoriously don’t do field research.

Is this paper accessible anywhere? If so, can anyone link to it?

It’s available at JSTOR, but you’ll either need a subscription or be willing to pay for access to a copy.
