    Absolutely love the rap, congrats!
Is there a German version in the making btw? if not, may I volunteer for it (doing the subtitles, ie - not dubbing;)

What do you use to do the Spanish translation? Do you do it from Spanish to German and Japanse? Or to English too? When I have to do small translations from English to Spanish or vice versa, I usually just write it up, then put it through the spanish translation from SpanishDict.com. It gives you the translations from 3 different translators so you can compare the results and find the one that sounds best. If I am still not sure, I just put it into the forum and the super friendly users correct it for me for free.
  • How about a kareoke version of the video -- lyrics in script only with a backing soundtrack.

    It's coming, Greg.

Sorry guys, the Keynes v Hayek rap is cringeworthy. I say that as an economist and as a parent whose children weren't even born when rap was cool.

Rap as a genre died a death when Eric B and Rakim split up. That was 20 years ago. New musical ideas have emerged since then.

i'm one more foreign language Hayek v Keynes rap away from taking this site off my blog feeder. Do you have an idea when you'll start posting about something other than this rap?

The "dismal science" no more! I've studied Spanish for several years and I think the translation is quite good. I'm sure soon someone will do the French and Italian versions, which are both beautiful languages. Not a bad way to learn some econ and some technical econ terminology in a language that one may be trying to learn. I'm sure everyone involved had a good time making this video. Even if rap music isn't your thing, this parody was done in such good taste, and high production value, that you can't help but laugh and even sing along. Bravo!
