Our Leaders

in Health, Politics, Video

Although these two short videos are making the rounds in the blogosphere, they are each worth an appearance here at the Cafe.

This one is of the Hon. Hank Johnson (D-GA) displaying science credentials.  (Rep. Johnson’s website’s attempt at damage control doesn’t work; Rep. Johnson is quoted:

“The subtle humor of this obviously metaphorical reference to a ship capsizing illustrated my concern about the impact of the planned military buildup on this small tropical island.”

Humorous: yes.  Subtle: not at all.

This next video is of Pres. Obama displaying his knowledge of math and his firm grip of economic reality.  (HT Walter Williams)

The point of my posting these brief clips is to expose the typical politican for what he or she is: a sorry joke; not a “leader”; not a “lawmaker”; an ordinary human being, with much more than his or her share of arrogance and power-lust, unworthy to exercise power over other human beings.
