Check out this data-rich analysis of the trend, over decades, of income inequality in the U.S. – for, respectively, individuals, households, and families – over at Political Calculations [1]. Informative. And it is strong evidence for a point on this matter that Russ often makes, namely, that changes in the composition of households creates illusions in data carelessly considered.
