Unplug

A National Day of Unplugging (HT: Jewish Ideas Daily) evidently begins at sunset tonight. I unplug every Friday afternoon at dusk because of the Jewish obligation to observe the Sabbath. For me it is a day of community and family spent praying, singing, eating, and talking. Lots of time with my family free of all electronic distraction. No phone, iPad, computer, television or car. I will blissfully miss the basketball games tonight. So will my sons. So we’ll hang out together. I recommend it as a once-a-week refresher for any reason, religious or otherwise.
