My colleague Larry White’s new book – The Clash of Economic Ideas [1] - is now out.  Happily so!  (I started reading the published version last night and can hardly put it down.)

Speaking of my colleagues, here’s  [2]Dan Klein on allegory and political economy [2].

Speaking of Dan, here’s his former student Ted Balaker – and Dan’s lovely and brilliant wife, Lotta, and their adorable daughter, Becca – in a six-plus-minute video (from 2010) on Sweden [3].  It’s a great video.

George Will writes touchingly, wisely, and wonderfully about his son Jon [4].  See also this lovely slideshow [5].

David Harsanyi appropriately asks “Who the hell is Julia? [6]

Bryan Caplan minds the gaps [7].
