Just read A Capitalism for the People [2] for an upcoming podcast. It is superb. There are some fabulous metaphors to help the reader understand moral hazard and he chronicles some aspects of cronyism and political economy in the financial sector that I have seen nowhere else. I didn’t find the solutions part of the book very convincing but even that part has interesting ideas and discussion. The best part of this book is the explanations of complex economic phenomena put into everyday terms. Zingales does that very very well.
