Thinking of Jim Buchanan
Posted By Russ Roberts On January 10, 2013 @ 2:21 pm In Podcast | Comments Disabled
With the passing of Jim Buchanan, it’s a good time to listen to this EconTalk episode with Don [1] on public debt where he draws on Buchanan’s work or this one [2] where I use Buchanan’s insights into specialization and Adam Smith to talk about trade.
I wish I had managed to get him on EconTalk. We tried a few times but it fell through. In two weeks, Pete Boettke will be a guest on EconTalk talking about his new book, Living Economics. We’ve already taped it–the interview begins with Pete giving a summary of Buchanan’s contributions.
