Ira Levin died on Monday [2]. One of his least-known works is one of my favorite novels: This Perfect Day, first published in 1970. It’s in the same genre as Orwell’s 1984 [3] and Animal Farm [4], and Huxley’s Brave New World [5]. [5] In my opinion, This Perfect Day [6] should be ranked with these three important classics that do so much to make readers feel in their guts the dangers of collectivism.
