Calling their impositions “tariffs,” politicians steal money with impunity from people who choose to buy foreign-assembled goods.  Domestic producers benefit from this theft from consumers who are not permitted to spend their money as they please – and from future producers who, because of this theft, never acquire the resources and customer bases necessary to launch or to expand their enterprises.
