Reading your report [2] (Feb. 17) on school districts attempting to promote “equity” by abolishing honors courses makes clear that what Thomas Sowell observed in 1999 remains true in 2023: “Too many teachers today see their role as propagandists for the fashionable notions of the times. Their own ‘role model’ is not Mr. Chips but Joseph Goebbels.”*
