Atlas Should Punt

Is there no end to politicians’ pretensions?  The New Orleans City Council is now meddling in choosing a head coach for the New Orleans Saints football team.

Isn’t the city’s rebuilding effort enough to occupy these pols?  Actually, come to think of it, better that the city’s politicians ruin the football team by meddling in it rather than ruin the city by meddling in the rebuilding effort.

They're never happy, they always think they can do better.

Here in Rochester, NY we've just wasted approx $40 of tax money on a failed ferry project to link up w/ Toronto.

Your attitude towards New Orleans City Council reminds me of my attitude towards Bill Clinton: I'd rather have a president who's screwing the interns than a president who's screwing the country.

Your attitude towards the New Orleans City Council reminds me of my attitude towards George Bush: I'd rather have a president who's screwing the interns than a president who's screwing the country.
