Unfortunately, financial incentives to increase organ donation rates remain illegal in the United States. The only legal incentive is a non-financial incentive offered by LifeSharers at http://www.lifesharers.org. LifeSharers offers people a chance to move up the transplant waiting list if they ever need a transplant, in exchange for the promise to donate their organs to other LifeSharers members when they die.
LifeSharers is legal under federal law and under the laws of all 50 states. It has the potential to double the number of organs recovered from deceased donors. This would save thousands of lives every year. Membership is free and open to all at http://www.lifesharers.org.
