I wish to hell mine were.

I'm now told that "hiking the Appalachian" is a euphemism for cheating on your spouse.

MnM June 25, 2009 at 12:26 pm

Congrats, Russ. I hope you two are doing something special today (you know, other than you blogging and her reading your posts ;-)

Haha. Man! From a libertarian or conservative standpoint, this whole thing sucks. I would have loved to hear his limited government messages on the 2012 campaign trail. There's always Ron Paul, though.

Sanford's an idiot.

Jeremy P June 25, 2009 at 12:36 pm

I wanted Sanford for 2012, even though he is a moron. Oh well.

Congratulations! 6/21/09 was the 36th for my wife and I. The next 16 should be even better –yes,if you stay away from South American countries.

Sam Grove June 25, 2009 at 12:52 pm

Congratulations, Russ!

My wife and I celebrated our 19th in May.

Greg Ransom June 25, 2009 at 12:57 pm

Congratulations, Russ.

So were are you taking your wife? At least out to dinner, I hope.

JOP June 25, 2009 at 1:01 pm

Congrats Russ.

VH June 25, 2009 at 1:10 pm

Twenty years?! Congratulations!

MnM June 25, 2009 at 1:16 pm

Of course, I can't make a relationship last twenty minutes.

Maybe it's because I spend so much time reading Cafe Hayek…

I and my wife of 725 days congratulate you, and wish you many more years together. You're an inspiration to us young married folk.

I imagine you'd be just as happy if you were *both* in Argentina *together*. Basically, XNOR.

BoscoH June 25, 2009 at 2:03 pm

Congrats Russ! Perhaps you should interview her for EconTalk?

MWG June 25, 2009 at 3:10 pm

You've been married 20 YEARS!?!?!?

I always say that to people who have been married longer than I have. I've been married for 2.

S Andrews June 25, 2009 at 3:23 pm

Congratulations. We celebrated our tenth anniversary recently.

LowcountryJoe June 25, 2009 at 3:25 pm

Congratulations! Is she interested in being a host of an upcoming EconTalk where she interviews you and the microeconomics of your relationship? I'm interested in what you signaled to her…er…got her for an anniversary gift; how much she added in the writing of The Invisible Heart; and other stuff that we'd like to hang over your head…er…know about you aside from what you've already revealed.

Joe Calhoun June 25, 2009 at 3:28 pm

Congratulations! My wife and I celebrated 22 this year. Isn't marriage wonderful?

Manfred June 25, 2009 at 4:16 pm

Professor Roberts,
Let me tell you, that I, as a native from Uruguay [right next to Argentina], I see nothing wrong that you AND your wife be, together, in Argentina…:-)
As a matter of fact, the ski resort of Bariloche is incredibly beautiful.

Larry Sheldon June 25, 2009 at 5:32 pm

God bless and keep you for the next twenty.

And go ahead and travel if that suits you.

Adam June 25, 2009 at 6:36 pm

Our first anniversary is Monday… I hope we make it to 20 and beyond!

Congratulations! :)

Love is a glorious thing. Congrats!

Chromatistes June 26, 2009 at 8:22 am

In common with Mr and Mrs Dave, Mrs C. and I celebrated 36 years of marriage this month – a testament to Mrs C's qualities of forbearance.

20 years … How is the old china?

Warmest congratulations. Here's to the next 20, but in the interim, please remember to keep posting at the Cafe!

Chris June 27, 2009 at 9:41 pm
