My passion still remains to drain the cesspool inside the D.C. Beltway, pave over it with four feet of concrete, then scourge that with the dirtiest nuclear blast we can produce so that no life can go there again forever. Scatter those public servants who are left to serve out through the country in small little town and make 'em work in uncooled and unheated quonset huts and communicate with each other via carrier pigeon. Maybe we could keep 'em under control like that.

Hey now! Some of us live inside the beltway and have never worked in the public sector in their lives! It's actually quite nice here, once you cross the river

There is an old country wisdom about lying down with dogs. You always get up with fleas.
Public Choice Theory is all to the good so long as we recognize it for what it is, a branch of Psychology, and not confuse it with economics. It may use economics, but does not contribute to it, and is no substitute for it.
Although the mises.org crowd might be sore at lumping you in with Mises like that. I hear they don't like you much over there.

BTW, mises.org is the 8th most popular economic website in the world. Most of the others are Government stats sites + economist.com. That says a lot about the rise of Austrian School in recent years.
Also, mises.org is open source. You can copy it and create your own mirror.
But you all love me here, and that's all that counts.

Amity Shlaes could have added one more bullet point to her essay in Forbes. “The federal government exploits global warming hysteria to vastly extend its control over the basis for the entire economy – energy consumption.”

There's nothing new about it. It's all right out of Mises.
My apologies – "dgomisesnomics"
