  • There are 3 important concepts here:

    1) incentives,
    2) incentives, and
    3) incentives.

These concepts are also fundamental to economics. Money is a wonderful incentive, medium of exchange, and, as they say, kinda makes the world go ‘round…..

I think it's just ripe how the White House and Ford defend the stupid program by cheerleading. This is a classic case of "you're not allowed to criticize us because our hearts are in the right place and we're trying to do something". And when you point out the real effects, well, you're just ruining a good thing. Even if it costs $24K per additional car sold.
  • Maybe this is their convoluted answer to AGW? Golf Carts are electric right? So easy solution, make everyone drive Golf Carts.
  • Economiser
And electricity is created by power plants burning coal or gas. Ah, the circle of life.
  • Oh Dems don't care about that...as long as those evil greedy oil companies (Gas and Coal producers are further down the totem pole of evilness) are made to suffer, they'll be happy.

A Dem made this exact same point on another post earlier today.

Caricaturing is unbecoming of you, Justin :)
  • Which post?
  • A natural consequence when you offer people other people's money. They are going to take it.
