Mystery men and woman

Who are these people? The guy in the suit is a GMU economist. The guy on the right is an NPR reporter, Adam Davidson. The woman? Her presence (she’s watching the Keynes/Hayek rap video and being interviewed for her reaction) is one of the stranger cultural moments I’ve experienced, roughly akin to the presentation I saw Muhammad Ali make at a philosophy seminar at the University of Chicago. OK, maybe not as strange as that. But pretty strange. If you tune into All Things Considered at 4:30 today, some answers are scheduled to be forthcoming.

I was confused as to why Russ wanted to get into the music scene. This photo clarifies everything;)
  • I loved the NPR coverage. Even better was the premier of the video at AEA. I can only add that Ke$ha should feel honored to have been included in this...as I'm sure she does.

    Great work, keep it up!

    Russ, this is pimpin'
  • I'm so old. I just assumed that was a random student at GMU who they were testing the video on.

At least I was half right.

Damn with faint praise, Russ you look like as old as Daniel Kuehn in that photo, how much did you have to pay them? :-)

You saw Muhammad Ali at a University of Chicago Philosophy seminar? can we get some more details on that?
  • chris_y
    Ke$ha! Impressive!
  • Marcus
OK, so what do you think she is thinking right at that moment?

The guy in the suit, isn't that paul krugman, without the beard?

    ;-)
  • russroberts
Naw. Krugman wishes he was half as good looking as that guy.

She better be careful. Looks like the stars are leaking out of her eyes.
  • russroberts
They were. It's quite a look.

I wonder how long it takes her to get her hair to look like she has done nothing to it....?

Good thing Lil Wayne wasn't in the house. He'd be dropping lyrics like "Smoke weed, talk econ like Russ Roberts".
  • Ke$ha?
  • martinbrock
Not that I'd heard of Ke$sha before you asked, but that seems to be her.
