Excellent job, great lyrics and production How much did it cost to make? Can’t wait for the next one (different economists? different format?).
Only concern is whether audience may find too strong of support for Hayek.
Probably because it’s logical
Oh, horrors! People might begin to embrace reason and abandon folly!
Will we get this in other languages too?
by the way,
youtube link of Fear the Boom and Bust with Japanese lyrics is broken.
here is the correct link…

I’ve watched it over 10 times now and it’s still awesome. Starting to sing parts of it out loud around the house. I’m amazed at how much is there and how deep it is. I actually shake when I watch it; there’s so much emotion in it for me. Even though I’m a Hayekian, my favorite verse is by Keynes:
You too only see what you want to see
The spending on war clearly boost GDP
Unemployment was over, almost down to zero
That’s why I’m the master
That’s why I’m the hero
It has a Darth Vader-like feel to it – in fact maybe that’s what I like most about the video. It’s like a real-life Star Wars – psychologically powerful!
John and Russ, you have no idea how good this video makes me feel! I feel a weight has been lifted from me. Thank you.
I agree completely. Only twice for me (so far), but I sent e-mails to everyone I know to spread the word.
Loved the video! Need to get back to listening to econtalk.
Can anyone read what the other guy in keynes corner name is? All I can read is ‘icks
It strikes me that the guy who plays Hayek could also pass for Friedman.
Great video!
Superb!! Loved not just the message but the delightful anachronistic style!
I”ve watched it three times and still cannot make out the names of the aides to Keynes in the boxing ring.
One is Maltus.
Malthus no edit here
Excellent video! What fantastic production values. Also, great lyrics. Perfectly done. wow.
its on the credits. its John R. Hicks
Hey now! Fantastic video.
Where is the courtroom scene filmed? Anybody know? Just curious…
The reference to pieces on a chessboard is also great. Adapted from Smith I suppose?
Another tremendous job, Roberts & Papola!
Also, Mike Munger’s cameo roles in both of these rap videos may be my favorite part of each. If there is a third video, I hope the Munger appearances continue!
“We have a 1066″ …
So, I guess someone thinks we have a “Battle of Hastings” in the offing… a sobering thought…
