The first one is from the students of a former student and the second is by former students (and includes a very brief cameo for me highlighting how price controls allow favoritism). They are both entries in this contest. Good luck to all.

Goodness gracious, I believe you have created a monster, Russ!
Is there a reason that these are always rap music videos? I have always thought that the spontaneous emergent order and the bossa nova would go well together.
How about Human Action and Rock

Easy on the eyes.
If you liked that, try Cato’s Ms. Fields

Easy to understand too. But, the leftist trolls won’t understand no matter how well you present the ideas. That’s why they are leftist trolls who still worship the concept of central planning. Now if they can just find a new The One to lead them.
The kids like rap.
Thinking about it a bit more I think it’s about quantity of words.
You can shell out an essay with rap while you might get only a fraction of the message out in a traditional verse-chorus-verse format over the same time period.
How about Bluegrass and Obama the “Man of constant Borrow”.
The intended audience isnt going to be the type that sells out their country, even if you do it in bluegrass.
They might have a dispute with the current president, but they aren’t going to be necessarily in tune with the company town. Or the government that sides with the company town at the expense of the people that reside in it.
You talk as if the country hasn’t already been sold or that it isn’t already a company town.
Whew buddy! Thanks for setting me straight there, I am embarrassed to think I might have gone through the rest of my life thinking people would sell out for a bluegrass tune.
Unless there are phrases that rhyme with, “Brother Smucker”, it’s not Rap.
Both cute. Not quite up to your level, but that is to be expected. One specific natter, if I may, and it applies to all pop music: when catchy tunes are stuffed with repetitve lyrics, it seems a waste of notes. Regardless of that, I am always amazed by the work exhibited in these kinds of efforts. Videography may be the new literacy; and most practitioners are apparently self-taught, another lesson for the academy. Your students are talented, indeed.
Thanks for the link Russ. You may have the Russ Roberts cameo, but my students are taking you down Coyne!
I might make a video about how there is no demand for supply and demand videos to explain the concept of a subsidy.
No you won’t. That would require an entrepreneurial spirit. All you’ve got is a sense of entitlement.
Those economics videos are marvelous!
BTW, roasted venison tastes marvelous!
I think much more clearly now that I am eating good food.
Try Chihuahua on a stick, tasty tasty stuff.
Chihuahua? Never thought of that. My neighbor has one. I’ll catch and roast it. Perhaps in a white wine sauce.
Thanks!
How about with some fava beans and a nice chianti.
Yum! Sounds good!
I love kittens.
I just can’t finish one by myself.
Well, eat what you want, the put the rest in the refrigerator. Leftovers are great!
Both videos are excellent. Both make points a different way.
I liked the black market milk scenes. It was a very clever way to show that no matter how hard one tries to control the market, someone will discover a way to “skim” profits…
Awww pun
LOL, love it! What’s the cameo? Is that your car/license plate?
Hip hop music is controlled by these ppl
