Steve Horwitz explains (with helpful links to Bob Murphy) a vital distinction among different sorts of rules.  In light of confusion over Milton Friedman’s express desire to restrain the Fed and other central banks – a confusion that ought not affect anyone who reads Friedman closely – Steve’s post deserves its own separate post here at the Cafe.
