The latest EconTalk is John Ralston Saul talking about his book, Voltaire’s Bastards. The book and the conversation are about the worship of reason to the exclusion of other values such as morality or common sense. He also attacks the rise of the technocrats and the educated experts. Despite these Hayekian themes, he’s a leftist which makes for a lively conversation.
