… is from the great Italian conductor Claudio Abbado, who died yesterday at the age of 80. I feign no expertise in music, but I know what I enjoy listening to, and I love Abbado’s interpretations of Beethoven’s symphonies. His 2006 version of Mozart’s Magic Flute is soaring.
