Scenes from 1970s Middle-Class America

Many of you who are too young to remember Ronald Reagan’s time in the White House will not know what is pictured in one or more of these photos.  Those of us who recall Jimmy Carter’s days in the Oval Office will know exactly what each of these items is. (HT W.E. Heasley)

In the mid 1970s, all but one of these items was common in ordinary American households.  (The exception was common and familiar to all Americans, but it wasn’t used in homes.)
