… believes that a voluntary exchange between Katarina in Bratislava and Lukas in Prague on December 31, 1992, was perfectly acceptable and harmful in no meaningful way to anyone, but that the same exchange between Katarina and Lukas on January 1, 1993, inflicted unwarranted damage on some innocent victims who deserve from the state protection from Katarina’s and Lukas’s peaceful, voluntary trade.
(Note: On December 31, 1992, Katarina and Lukas were citizens of the same country: Czechoslovakia. A day later, they were citizens of different countries.)
