Deirdre McCloskey’s Rogge Lecture on Thomas Piketty’s ‘Capital in the Twenty-First Century’

Here’s a video of a talk that Deirdre McCloskey gave last November at Wabash College on Piketty’s smash best-seller on economic inequality.  (The lecture series is named after the late, great Ben Rogge, who was an economics professor at Wabash.)

Around the 15-minute mark, Deirdre offers evidence that Prof. Piketty’s understanding of basic price theory is rather weak – evidence, in short, that Prof. Piketty does not understand basic supply-and-demand analysis.
