DBx: While no one would dispute Vincent’s point as it is stated, this point cannot too often be repeated. The reality is that a shockingly large number of people ignore this reality when discussing policy and politics, whether informally with friends over coffee, or formally when constructing models of how this or that intervention might possibly move human society closer to paradise.
