DBx: The American Revolution began on this date – April 19th – 250 years ago at Lexington and Concord. The American revolutionaries were human beings, neither gods nor devils. But they were infused with the era’s liberalism. And the results of their courageous efforts, while of course imperfect, were magnificent. They feared arbitrary power.
I believe that were these revolutionaries to observe the United States in 2025, they would be aghast at the size and arbitrariness of the American government.
