Don’t forget his brilliant sequel, “More Sex is Safer Sex”. No, that’s not the book your couple therapist prescribed you, that’s the actual title of an econ book!
I like that Landsburg writes well, gets people thinking, and explores creative terrain (similar to Leavitt). I have a criticism though… he plays a little fast and loose with some economic concepts, as if he’s discovered a nifty six-shooter and he can’t wait to blast everything with it.
Reminds me of environmentalist types who discover the concept of externalities, or newly minted Objectivists. What ought to be more mature and reasoned arguments often sound like an excitable freshman bashing away with his hammer of utilitarian economics.
